The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. Sheeta in particular was extremely helpful - helped with booking on-going travel, taxis etc. We thought it was very good value for money especially in comparison to other places we stayed in Southern India for equal price.
The free WiFi chucks you out after about 10 minutes - usually just as you are about to complete a transaction! But this was a small issue.

The mini bar was never replenished and I had to ask for more toilet paper as it was not replenished.

Right from the moment I stepped into the lobby till the moment I vacated, the ambience of the hotel, the approach of the staff was beyond words. The place was simply mesmerizing. I visit Madurai at least once every year and intend to make sure that JC Residency is my preffered choice of stay.
I could not find anything where I could suggest any rooms for impovement.
